Scan and import
Scan multiple pages with the camera, or import photos, PDF, Word, and Excel files from Photos or Files. Review pages, adjust edges, rotate, and choose quality before saving.
OCR and search
Recognition resources are bundled with Sheaf and run on device. Choose an OCR language in Settings and find files by name, text, date, category, or tag.
Share and save
Choose a format and quality from the file detail view, then continue with the iOS share sheet. You can also explicitly save to Photos or a Files folder.
Backup and privacy
Create an AES-256 encrypted local backup and choose where to keep it. Protected categories, hidden files, and the private space can use Face ID or device authentication.
FAQ
Common questions
Does Sheaf upload my files to a server?
No. The current version has no account, first-party cloud sync, or cloud OCR. Scans, imported files, OCR text, categories, tags, notes, reminders, and search indexes are processed on device. A file leaves the app only when you explicitly share or save it.
Can I recover a deleted file?
Files remain in the recycle bin for 7 days by default. After permanent deletion or emptying the bin, Sheaf cannot recover them.
Will my files remain after uninstalling the app?
Not necessarily. Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, device damage, or device loss may make local files unrecoverable. Create encrypted local backups regularly and keep them in a reliable location.
How do I restore Sheaf Pro?
Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple account. iOS and Android purchases are managed separately and are not promised to restore across platforms. Real purchases and restoration will open after App Store product configuration and Sandbox acceptance.
Why does a feature stop working after I deny permission?
Camera, Photos, Files, notifications, and authentication are used only for the related feature. You can re-enable access in iOS Settings; turning off permission does not delete files already stored on your device.
Where can I download Sheaf?
The iPhone and iPad app is preparing for the App Store. This site does not provide a test build, temporary download URL, or release date before the official channel is confirmed.
